PART 1
“So very bizarre to be at the Grammy parties when the Whitney Houston news started to come across. She was slated to perform at the Clive Davis party tonight. They are currently revamping the schedule for tomorrow’s events to honor her. Tonight, Marcy Kraft and I were in the company of Weird Al Yankovic, Gregg Allman, Glen Campbell, Peter Asher, George Jones, Skunk Baxter (pictured and we talked military talk!) and all kinds of producers and agents and such at the Nominees party. Drinks afterwards at the hotel bar with John Denver’s brother and Carol, the widow of Grammy winner Roger Nichols, engineer for Steely Dan and John Denver. What a delightful family group they have!!! I heard a lot of Beach Boys stories from way back when and can’t wait to see them perform tomorrow!!!” — Debbi Calton

PART 2
“Congrats!!! Philly Wins – Best Children’s Album for the CD “All About Bullies…Big and Small”. (Various Artists)
Jim Cravero, Gloria Domina, Kevin Mackie, Steve Pullara & Patrick Robinson, producers, [Cool Beans Music & East Coast Recording Co.]” — George Manney

PART 3
“An amazing day/night all the way around. Too tired to blog tonight but All About Bullies Big and Small won the Grammy for Best Children’s Record. Cyndy Drue and I both got to go up on stage with all the producers of this fantastic project and it’s a moment we’ll never forget. Pics and reports to follow tomorrow. Night night!!!!!” — Debbi Calton

PART 4
“I want to thank EVERYONE for all the fantastic messages being sent my way regarding the BEST CHILDREN’S RECORD Grammy. Just want to remind you all of the project itself…ALL ABOUT BULLIES BIG AND SMALL is a collaborative effort with producers Steve Pullara, Kevin Mackie, Gloria Domina, James Cravero, Pat Robinson and a whole bunch of artists and others who all donated their time and talents. Cyndy Drue and I were SO thrilled to be out in LA and to go up on stage with everyone else. Please get the CD and spread the word of this truly worthwhile and wonderfully produced project!!!” — Debbi Calton

NOTE: Two corrections to my above post: Whitney wasn’t SLATED to perform at the Clive Davis party last night although she sang at a pre-Grammy event earlier this week and hopes were on the rise that she might, and I meant to type Connie rather than Carol (Nichols.) — Debbi
