Though all the promises
Rings and roses
Where did the love go?
With all the missed kisses
We’re building bridges
Where did the love go?
Throughout all of time
Goodness shall outshine
Instead of me and mine
We’re in the hour of our
In the era of our
Era of our hour
Our era hour
Where did the love go? (Right here!)
Though all the promises
Rings and roses
Where did the love go? (It’s right here!)
With all the missed kisses
We’re building bridges
Where did the love go? (It’s right here!)
Written in Chester County, Pennsylvania and captured as a digital, stereo, extemporaneous recording. Demo MP3 is 1 track. Video is 6-tracks.
This song was inspired by one of my first girlfriends, Janet Welch of Clearfield, Pennsylvania. I sat down to write a song about Valentine’s Day and just started playing about love. This is what came out.
We were in high school… passing notes and falling in love. We made what I considered a great bet. She lost the bet; however, before she could fulfill her end of the bargain, she died in a car crash. Does a spirit live on?
You’re a monster
In everything you do
You do, you do
In everything you will
You will, you will
You can’t help
You’re a monster
You’re larger than life
You can play the bass
Like a monster
You can sing
Like nothing
Or, everything
Certainly something
Why did you say nothing?
Like nothing else compares
Written in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Digital, 1-track stereo, extemporaneous recording. This song was inspired by friend Rick Reinhart calling me a monster (in a good way.) It made me think of my analogy the “Friendly Dragon”. A friendly dragon walked into the main street street of a village. The people on the left side of the street saw him and started screaming in terror. When the dragon turned to comfort the paniced people, his tail swung around and destroyed the right side of the village. Moral: be careful with your power even if your intentions are good.
Written in Chester County, Pennsylvania and captured as a digital, 1-track stereo, extemporaneous recording. It is about the *THE BIG SHOW* of life and the after-party in heaven.
LYRICS
It’s been real
But, I’ll see you later (later)
Time to feel
Best is better (better)
’cause I booked a trip
And, I’m flying on Astral Airlines
A pleasant jaunt
With no penalties or fines
If you want to… bring your baggage
You’ll welcome to bring it along
But, it will be less savage
If you just pack your heart with a song
LYRICS
I’m looking into you
Want to find out your point-of-view
I want to know everything you do
You seem to be the police of the world
You seem to be the boss of told
You seem to be an illustrator of disaster
Who do you think you are
You went to far
You are an impersonator
Who do you think you are…
God?
Or an impersonator
Wearing funny clothes
Some sort-of uniform
Cause you want to swarm
With your hate and evilness
You’re not at home with peace
Not in the least
Written in Chester County, Pennsylvania and captured as a digital, 1-track stereo, extemporaneous recording. The inspiration comes from the comfort of knowing God is on your side.
Psalms 23: 4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
LYRICS
Do you want to hear something really weird?
There’s a lady with a beard
A blockhead pounding nails in his nose
Do you think he knows?
This is a sideshow
Looks like we’re part of the sideshow
Do you want to see something really strange?
How life gets rearranged
Sideshow
Some kind of sideshow
Do you want to hear something really weird?
There’s a lady with a beard
And, it’s as scary as you feared
They’ve got Siamese twins
And, a lady who ain’t too thin
Good news is…
Everyone can win
“Everyone’s a winner!
Step right up
Step right this way”
Sideshow
Sneak a peak at a freak
Do you want to hear something really weird?
All those things you thought you held dear
Are fleeting
There ain’t no beating
That Grim Reaper
So while you’ve got your life
Be a keeper
Want to see something really strange
See how your life gets rearranged
First you’re young
Then you’re old
Then you remember what people told
With age comes wisdom
Experience
And, you’ve seen this sideshow
Nothing to surprise you now
Unless somehow
You revert back to your childhood
And, you can gain that innocence
As part of your presence
Do you want to hear something really weird?
You can gain that essence as part of your presence (presents)
LYRICS
The wind
Whips and winds through the branches
To be on its way
The light of day
Moving like a wave
Moving like a particle
Some would say
It’s like a miracle
The water
Floats down stream
Leaving the rocks in between
And, the current
Can’t quite be seen
But, it’s moving through too
As it’s passing through the stones
Of the riverbed
If you listened real closely
You would’ve heard it said
It’s most peculiar
The mysteries of nature
For sure
Leave me in wonder
Dancing In The Raise
LYRICS
Out of into phase
Daze and amaze
It’s in how you phrase
The truth of the charade
Parade!
Dancing in the rays
Dancing in the raise
These are the day
For dancing in the raise
Dancing in the ray’s raise
You move around
Swing your hips
As if to praise
You raise in the rays
Out of body bound
Astound!
