Pottstown, PA – Sunday June 26th 2011 – Warwick County Park 11am-3pm is the site for a pediatric stroke awareness charitable event with live music from bands “New Kings of Rhythm” “Fabulous Taco Brothers” “Amos Lee Band” and more. Face painting and free gift giveaways assist in educating the community to the realities of pediatric stroke.

RoosterFEST Live 2011 is the first stop on a U.S tour promoting awareness and education about Pediatric Stroke sponsored by roosterscroke.org. A nonprofit organization founded by a parent whose child suffered a stroke at age 15. Teachers from local Henderson High School and O&J Roberts High School will be performing on behalf of the event which hopes to spread the message “stroke is not just an elderly affliction.”

Roosterscroke.org is a charitable organization, whose purpose is connecting with communities, universities, environmentalist, organic farmers and children’s hospitals, forming a strong network of health and wellness professionals to ascend the public consciousness of Pediatric Stroke. Raise funds for new research and medicines, increasing the education level of our society towards this affliction.

Pediatric Stroke is the sixth leading cause of death among children. It affects 25 in 100,000 new born and 12 in 100,000 kids under the age of 18. Often time’s symptoms go completely unnoticed. Perinatal, prenatal, infants and adolescence are all impacted by the various forms of stroke syndromes.
