Who’s Fault

It seemed, no sooner did I post Martin Luther Kings 1967 speech, then the ground started shaking beneath my feet. Well that begs the question, who’s fault is it, I heard some hot springs are boiling over, up north, it seems our populations are about to boil over too, seems Martin Luther King was right on target in that 67 speech, change a few names of places, what he spoke of 43 years before, sounds a lot like what’s happening today. As if he had seen into the crystal ball, all I attempt to address on these pages, he addresses in his 1967 speech, some part of me says maybe I should shut this program down, from here on, day after day, publish Martins speech “Beyond Vietnam” it says it all! Forty two years removed, memories of a dark day in Memphis are resurrected, Easter Sunday, 2010, a marker on the road, we fucked up, can we go back, start over! It was April 4, 1967, Martin Luther King, gave this speech, there was no convenient compromise of conscience, no hypocrisy in his words. Finding yesterday, his words, reading them, posting them on my site, the ground shook below my feet again, no different than the way it must have shook back then, I felt a big shift, my stomach felt uneasy, don’t think I felt much different than the feelings of 43 years ago, his words mean something to me today. Being blind sided by this development, I begin thinking some about that John Mayall Mi lay on the beach, why things might of happened the way they did, never entering my mind at the time, it had only been a year, plus a couple weeks, since the day Martin was shot, I’m sure, now, thinking back, this played a big part, determining law enforcements reaction, to any public gatherings. Well I made the swim through the pier, the cops had lined up on the piers south side in the sand, I had breached the gauntlet, not so fortunate for some fellow revelers, beat up, bloodied, bummed out, an understatement, how you say, all, very disappointed. Our Country, or should I say our people, have all been brainwashed, been bribed, this quote from Martin Luther Kings Speech, April 4th, 43 years back, my help snap us out of it, help to get us back on track.–”" We must rapidly begin the shift from a “thing-oriented” society to a “person-oriented” society. When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, materialism, and militarism are incapable of being conquered.”"– I came out from the ocean, out from under the pier, my jeans were soaked, the sun had ducked back beneath the fog bank, it had gotten cold, shirt less, I got back with the crowd heading north, walking parallel to the shore, the ones who ran the gauntlet, victims of a well orchestrated plan. So the drill was back then, whenever a crowd assembled, agitators were sent in, undercover, just to stir things up, it was the time when our Government had declared us the enemy. Walking away that day, I remember, looking back into Venice, seeing shadows cast by dark clouds.
